We are looking for students who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, and a commitment to serving their communities. Academic excellence We are looking for students who have a strong academic record. This includes having a minimum GPA of 3.0 and taking challenging coursework. We also value students who have participated in research or other extracurricular activities that demonstrate their academic curiosity and potential. Financial need We understand that the cost of medical school can be a significant financial burden. We are committed to supporting students who demonstrate financial need. This includes students who are from low-income families, students who are working part-time or full-time to pay for school, and students who have significant debt. Commitment to serving communities We are looking for students who are committed to serving their communities. This could include volunteering at a free clinic, working with underserved populations, or advocating for social justice issues. We believe that it is important for physicians to be involved in their communities and to use their skills to make a difference. If you are a medical student who meets these criteria, we encourage you to apply for the Dr. Faris F. Abusharif Scholarships. We look forward to learning more about you and your journey to becoming a doctor.
